A World Bank feature published in June 2021 describes work by the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) under the Emergency Multi-Sector Rohingya Crisis Response Project in Cox’s Bazar. LGED had no site access from March to October 2020 because of the COVID-19 shutdown.

Aerial imagery of the camps was georeferenced so that LGED could plan shelter layouts remotely. The feature says GPS data was superimposed on the georeferenced drone image, and that the images also helped determine each shelter’s orientation and assess the capacity of each solar nano-grid.
